Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima has nothing but immense praise for the Xbox One and is seriously considering adding functionality for the Kinect and SmartGlass.
Speaking in an official Xbox interview, the developer stated that he believes the new Xbox One to be powerful with amazing graphics potential.
“I am really looking forward to the graphics power it is capable off,” he said.
He expressed interest in Microsoft’s SmartGlass, saying that using it and ”different devices to bring the hardcore gameplay to different kind of media” is something he is “really looking forward to.”
Moving on he also praised the new Kinect for the next-gen console, saying that he may end up integrating it in Metal Gear Solid V.
“The Kinect itself brings a lot of different capabilities as well and I will like to see what I can do with the voice command, and the movement with the gestures and see what we can do with that,” he said.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain was used to commence Microsoft’s E3 conference earlier this month. The game features an open-world setting with an amazing day/night and weather cycle. The game instantly reminded us of the prospect of next-gen and what we may end up experiencing.
The game is not an exclusive title and will be released for the both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A PC release wasn’t mentioned but judging from how Kojima now wants his games to be played by almost everyone, we may just be able to see that happening.
