Watch Dogs’ protagonist Aiden Pierce will be able to use his hacking skills to complete the entire game in stealth, if players wish to do so that is.
Ubisoft has revealed that the game will give players the option of either handling missions through violence or stealth. Senior director Dominic Guay exclaimed that in Watch Dogs going into stealth mode will in most ways be easier for players while the violence option is going to pose a challenge to some degree.
“About 95 percent of missions you can completely stealth through, or flee or chase without having to shoot,” he told Polygon. “So it’s really player choice-driven. There are a very few, very limited amount of missions that will force you to kill people.”
Thanks to his trusty cell phone, Aiden can pretty much get hold of a great amount of personal information on almost anyone. This information can prove to be useful in missions or they can help Aiden stop crimes before they are about to happen. Players more or less will feel like a cyber vigilante.
Watch Dogs is going to feature plenty of stealth options for players to go through in the game’s multiplayer mode. However, Guay isn’t ready to talk yet and promised to reveal those features when they approach the game’s release on November 19, 2013 for all major platforms.
