2K Games has revealed that the first episode of BioShock: Infinite Burial at Sea DLC will be available on November 12 and cost $15 on the PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3.
The DLC finds the players returning back to the world of Rapture, an underwater city, featured in the first two BioShock games. The protagonist, Booker DeWitt, will visit the undersea so-called utopia on the eve of its downfall approximately one year before the original BioShock began. Though more plot details were not revealed, we can be sure that it will resemble a classic film-noir tale with plenty of hard-boiled mysteries.
Players of Burial at Sea are expected to run into not only your companion from BioShock: Infinite, Elizabeth, but also some acquaintances from the previous games such as Andrew Ryan, Frank Fontaine, and Sofia Lamb. Those names by itself should be enough to entice any player of the Bioshock franchise.
Note that the DLC will take one year before the beginning of the BioShock series, which means that Rapture will not be in the same state of disarray as it was when the players first got to explore it.
The Burial at Sea DLC will come in two parts, this part will be the first and the next will supposedly focus Elizabeth. The second part has not yet received a release date.
